I apologize. I accidentally deleted the former alternative therapies page. Where it mentions the massage therapy that is offered here and also the very unique isolation abatement, energy work and sport and stress massage therapy that Miss Aubrey does. We do have a number of massage therapists that we work with, but they would be the first to tell you that what they do doesn’t hold a candle to what Aubrey can do.
Also deleted were the testimonials talking about what a godsend Aubrey is to Rockford. I am here to second that and to officially talk about something else that Aubrey exclusively offers but doesn’t talk much about- Nostalgia Play Therapy for adults!
I was introduced to this when a friend of mine said I needed to go see Aubrey for her play therapy. I knew of her specialized work with trauma victims, but hadn’t heard of her doing play therapy. -
We really need to update her bio pro ballerina and actress yes but also qualified in the most diverse fields you can imagine. See kids, be like Miss Aubrey have a plan B C and D- she does and uses all of them!
When I showed up, Aubrey apologized because she was currently renovating (name of thing redacted to not spoil the surprise). I start ed laughing because no way could anyone be in possession of that. Then I stepped inside and saw that was indeed what Aubrey was in possession of and working on. I started squealing like a three-year-old child.
Then she took me to the space that she does what I’m going to call nostalgic play therapy. I asked if I could move in. It’s just the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen.
If you were a little girl anywhere from the 1970s to the early 2000s, you need this. I likely don’t know you personally, but if you’re a woman, I know you need this. Because being an adult is stressful. And because you will lose your absolute mind when you see the stuff that Aubrey has.
And not only can you do physical appointments at her “office”, I use the term loosely because again when you see what she has there… she also travels because and I quote,” People that need this the most often are at jobs where they’re lucky to get a half hour break or even if you get an hour break by the time you get to where you need to go in Rockford, it’s time to go back to work.” As long as “you have a space where no one is going to bother you”.
Full disclosure her sessions aren’t cheap but they’re cheaper than a lot of therapists I know and the awesome factor is priceless. which if you factor this completely unique and unreplicated experience it’s dirt cheap.
Disclaimer she is not a licensed clinical therapist in the state of Illinois. And she will be the first to tell you that this is not actual clinical play therapy and would never promote it as such. But the term play therapy is the best way to describe what she does. She will also stress that this is not clinical therapy and should be considered for entertainment purposes only. Get it? Entertainment purposes, play therapy? Well I thought it was clever.
So if you see or speak to Aubrey, I highly recommend asking her about her nostalgic play therapy for adults. And if she happens to ask where you heard about it from, just say you’ve heard about it from a friend.😁 She has enough Rockford clients for that to be plausible, even though most of her clients currently come from Chicago or Milwaukee.
Or if you’re gutsy, you can tell her you found out about it on the website. And I’ll get to have fun seeing how long it takes her to figure out who wrote this! 😂
I’m just not about to put my name on here because I know that Miss Aubrey is strong enough to take me out with just one toe. 😁
